identifying time...

#1 Post by samnlou » Sun May 28, 2017 8:53 pm

Lucky me.

I have had a mechanical fail in the white zed (Aus Spec) which is giving the opportunity to doing a bunch of stuff all at once.

Anyhoo while deleting junk from under front right guard, I came to 2 relays. One is damaged (dunno if it is even working, no battery in the car to go checking).

The double sized one in the photo attached (blue in colour) is for the starter system I think. But the manual does not have another relay located here!

Anyone able to provide a clue as to the purpose of the brown one?

Without the bigger picture it looks to be coming off of the forward lighting harness? I'm looking at photos of my Z when it had its fenders off and - Puzzling as I don't have a brown relay that looks like that, though mines a 94.
Anti-Theft relay-Horn sounding? Could possibly be something to do with that.
Or a Brown relay on the front forward lighting harness according to Nissan-manual is for Fog lights.
A to B via Z!
