When the Mitzy EVO 3 came out, they released a small brochure for the dealers etc etc........ on the botton spec under "fuel ecconomy" it said

Who Cares!

And when I drove my Z for the first time, I thought the same thing.

Heard from a reliable source that a 4 seater twin turbo in good condition went for less than NZ$6000 privately a month ago.
Best bet is to shop around, and for gods sake, get it WELL checked out.

Possably a blockage in the line before or after, bits in the tank blocking intake? Maybe a dent in the fuel line under the car?
Surest way to find out is test the pump after it's been taken out of the car.

Hiya Can't say much about the engine noises but it sounds as if the bearings are on their way out in your gearbox (the shafts spin when in neutral with the clutch out and stop when you push the clutch in.) Badly worn boxs have a tendancy to whine too, and it should be worst in 2nd and 5th, as these ...

Ok, considering the state of tune of the motor from the factory and most will only do the chip and filter, moving up to 2 1/2 or 2 5/8 pipe each side sounds about right.

Now, back to coming up with ways to make a 50cc scooter do 70 mph........

It's always been my understanding that backpreasure limits an engine due to engine having to pump against it to get the gasses out etc. The only time I have ever known backpreasure to be needed is to increase the effectiveness of a 2 stroke engines expansion chamber. These work by first creating a n...
